Éric DE WOLBOCK-CHÂTILLON

 

Former Commander, French Navy, he served in operational duty in Lebanon (1982-1983 / 2011-2012).

 

He served first as Navy Officer. After becoming Administration Officer he served in positions focused on finance, procurement and operational logistics. He was assigned to the French Navy Operational Combat Readiness Team where he contributed to the creation of a mixed organisation between Navy Technical Specialists and Industrial Maintenance Engineers. He deployed in the French Caribbean Islands, then successfully created the procurement team in the French Navy Fire Brigade in Marseille. Chosen by French Defence General Control to be part of the Labour Inspectors, he was commissioned to that French Pacific (French Polynesia, New-Caledonia, Wallis-and-Futuna). In Tahiti, he was assigned  for negotiations between the Trade Unions and the Higher Command, in a crisis social environment. Assigned back to Paris, he directed the French Joint Staff Security and Safety Office, in charge of rules and regulations when building the new Defence Bases. He finished in operational duty as Security and Safety Officier for the French Contingent of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) - 1 300 persons.

 

From Operations field to broad strategic and economic overview, this gives him expertise in the general management field.

 

Since he retired, he is Chief Executive Officer of Vellela Co, a consultancy company focused on high level missions in government politics, military organisations, security and safety. He was Team Manager from February to September 2013 in Abu Dhabi in the Emirate’s Command and Control System(ECCS) Project.

 

He is Founder and Chairman of Le Prix littéraire de La Sérénissime.

 

He is native French speaker and fluent in English.
